Right, You have your new shining website ready to go and what now ? You wish to appear in Google search engine right ? First … second position … today … ? Before you add your website to Google, make shore it is done and have content relative to what you need and want. When google access your pages, it will start to read its content and add it to google database. That process is repeated every couple weeks (it takes time to travel via all Internet and index your pages again so it takes some time), so whatever you place on your pages, will stay in google database for a while until crawler will update it again. You do not have to finish your website in 100% ( it is not possible anyway), just be shore your pages contain relevant content and check it against illegal or unwanted content ( like drugs, porn etc, Google doesn’t like it and will drop your website to very bottom of any search result or ban it totally)
2. Add your URL to Google
As all is ready to go, you can add your URL to Google. But how to do that ? Easiest way is to go to google search engine and type ‘submit URL to google’ and you will find google’s webmaster section where you can submit your urls’s to let google know about your website, pages or any changes.
Second way to do that, is to place link to your website on another, already google indexed website. If you have other website you can do it, or ask your friend to do that on his website if he have one. That way is good to, but a bit slower as Googlebot ( google robot – crawler ) need time to recrawl linking page and follow your link to find and crawl your website.
3. Social media bits and pieces.
Think you have Facebook profile right ? Or maybe LinkedIn account ? Flickr ? Pinterest ? Let people know about your website by placing links there. It will help to index your page to and add some extra points for having links linking to your website ( but that it topic different post as it touches SEO technics ).
Try to follow those simple paths and soon you will see your website in Google search engine.
